INTRODUCTION
This is one of CHEREAU’s great specialities along with fish and fruit and vegetables, as our region has an abundance of producers of all types of meat.
To transport them from abattoirs to meat cutting and processing plants, carcasses are hung from the roof with specific systems for each type of meat. The necessary compatibility between abattoir networks and those of transport vehicles calls for highly sophisticated on-board distribution and connection devices. The distribution of quarters of meat to butchers requires other even more specialised means of carrying and handling.
STANDARD MEAT CHASSIS
All our chassis are equipped with a 2090 track as standard, which gives them better stability, especially in the meat industry. The wide track also limits the effects of sway.
STAINLESS STEEL EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT
Extensive use of stainless steel for the external body (compartments, lights protection, etc.).
STAINLESS STEEL INTERNAL EQUIPMENT
Everything is designed for maximum efficiency when loading and unloading and during cleaning thanks to the various options available: sides, lashing points, stainless steel front grille.
TUBULAR HANGING RAILS
The tubes (a total of five in general) are supported by extruded aluminium arms with locking sliders, which enable the quarters of meat to be held in place in order to restrict movement during transport. They are equipped with a fall protection system for the loading and unloading phases. For mixed rail and pallet use, CHEREAU has developed various devices for storing the hooks in the roof.
HANGING RAILS
Thanks to the principle of parallel double rails with moulded aluminium supports, the bi-rail system ensures that hooks roll smoothly, making it easier to work during loading and unloading.
SLIDE HANGING RAIL
Made from 50 mm thick C-shaped aluminium profiles bolted directly to the inside of the roof, this hanging system uses sliding mushroom-head hooks. This hanging system design is not compatible with abattoir networks, so moving quarters from the abattoir to the semi-trailer requires human intervention or robotic handling.
SWITCHPLATE AND CONNECTION
Thanks to a connection pole, transferring quarters of meat from the abattoir network to the semi-trailer body is almost automatic. CHEREAU has developed a removable, interchangeable end connector in order to be as versatile as possible. The tubular or bi-rail hanging systems can be used with single outlet or inter-rail switch plates.
MEAT STEPS
Available with 6 or 7 steps resting on the ground, the steps are used to unload quarters of meat.
WASTE-WATER TANK
160 L stainless steel waste-water tank to collect the run-off water.
EASY-C EVO PARTITION
The Easy-C Evo partition enables multi-temperature operation. Easy to handle with a secure locking system, it facilitates optimum air circulation thanks to its new end-stop spacers.
EASYFLEX PARTITION
Our EasyFlex partition is ergonomic. It is lighter and also stronger; in the event of an impact, it tilts forward and then returns to its original position.
It has a hydrophobic insulating foam and an impact-resistant thermoplastic skin. Finally, its footprint has been reduced by 70mm, making it compatible with the transport of 33 pallets in multi-temperature.
ATDII
The ATD II system makes it possible to transport up to 66 pallets measuring 80 x 120 on two levels while complying with regulations and providing proper ventilation of the load. This optimises the flow of goods.
CAMERA SOLUTIONS
CHEREAU provides a range of cameras offering visibility up to 360° around the vehicle to facilitate manoeuvres and secure the vehicle and its surroundings.
CITYLIGHT
This warning light system provides dynamic flash signalling to alert road users that a delivery is underway and a powerful work light to illuminate the rear of the vehicle.
AEROTOP-C
Component of the CHEREAU aerodynamic system. The AeroTop-C is an aluminium roof deflector making it possible to save 0.3 L/100 km on long-distance trips.
AEROFLAP-C
Component of the CHEREAU aerodynamic system reducing consumption by 0.7 L/100 km or 1.1 L/100 km when combined with the AeroTop-C.
These aluminium components deploy and fold automatically when the rear doors are operated.
CONNECTBOX
The ConnectBox is a new interface box between the tractor and the trailer. This standard equipment allows for expanded functionality and safety options. These include flashing clearance lights, reversing light delay and flash warning before the lights go out.
MULTI-ENERGY COOLING SOLUTIONS
CHEREAU has mastered all the existing technologies, from standard fuel- or gas-powered units to hybrid or 100% electric units.
