Gender equality index

In accordance with its reporting obligations, CHEREAU publishes its "Gender Equality Index", which amounts to :

  • For 2018 at 84%.
  • For 2019 at 73%.
  • For 2020 at 83%.
  • For 2021 at 69%.
  • For 2022 at 79%.

This index is calculated on the basis of 5 indicators and according to a methodology based on socio-professional categories, thus making it possible to identify possible gaps and avenues for progress.

The indicators concerned are as follows for the year 2022 (the objectives were the subject of an agreement with the 5 trade union organisations signed on 27 February 2023):

1. Gender pay gap: 39/40, gap in favour of women.
The objective for 2023: to reach 40, by analysing the groups where the gaps are the greatest.

2. Gap in the distribution of individual increases: 20/20.

3. Promotion gap: 5/15, in favour of women.
The target for 2023: 15/15, by analysing the causes, without deteriorating the two previous indicators

4. Number of female employees receiving a raise after returning from maternity leave: 15/15

5. Number of people of the under-represented gender in the top 10 highest paid: 0/10

The objective for 2023 and the following years: to work on the employer brand by taking action with prescribers to obtain more CVs from the under-represented sex

Each year, CHEREAU pays particular attention to any discrepancies in pay and promotions between men and women as part of its pay review process and its NAO.
